HEADTEACHER'S WELCOME

I am privileged and honoured to be Therfield’s Headteacher. Every day I am impressed by the commitment and enthusiasm of students and staff to ensure that the school really does provide, “The Best for All  - Excellence, Leadership, Opportunity”

In my visits to lessons I've been delighted by the high quality teaching and learning I've observed and am impressed that the students at Therfield are rising to my challenge that they have impeccable manners and are always polite and courteous.

The school has achieved excellent academic results at GCSE and A Level over recent years. This has included GCSE results which continue to exceed national expectations with a positive Progress 8 score (the national measure) over the past three years as well as A2 results that enable students to access any destination including Oxbridge or Russell Group universities. As a staff group we are committed to ensuring that every student can achieve their very best in all exams.

At Therfield our goal is to help young people develop the skills, knowledge, qualifications, character, and ambition to become outstanding citizens able to access opportunities and life chances. We want them to become adults of whom you and we are proud; individuals who make positive contributions in the world in which they live and who become true leaders.

Therfield is a family school where themes of respect, tolerance, fair play, good manners, and hard work can be seen in action every single day.
