Sixth Form Bursary
The Therfield Sixth Form Bursary Scheme is designed to help those students in need of financial support whilst they undertake their studies. Details of how to apply are shown below and we would really encourage those that may be eligible to submit an application. The purpose of the bursary is to address barriers to learning so that students have the best opportunity to engage in Sixth Form life. Bursary is designed to pay for items that a student would otherwise have to pay for in order to participate.
Throughout the school year we keep an open dialogue with students so that funds can be allocated appropriately across the academic year. Bursary funds have helped with the start of course costs, student’s daily travel costs, school trips, university visits, laptops, books and other resources. The cost of a school lunch for those bursary students that are not entitled to free school meals has also been supported by these funds.
