Therfield GCSE Results 2021

We are extremely proud of the Therfield class of 2020 and congratulate them on some really well deserved achievements

We are delighted to celebrate the hard work and dedication of a great Year 11 cohort at Therfield. The impact of the last 18 months has no doubt been stressful for students and parents but we are pleased to share their fantastic achievements with them today. We are really proud of the students for all of their commitment and hard work.

Our students did not get a chance to show what they would have achieved in formal GCSE exams but instead, there has been a complex process to allocate a ‘teacher assessment grade’ (TAG) which included a range of internal assessments.  We were delighted to be able to hold a Year 11 Ball event to celebrate their hard work, and it is important that they can move on to the next stage in their education with a sense of achievement and recognition.

In particular, we would like to recognise some outstanding individual achievements:

  • Jamie Lunn achieved 10 grade 9’s; an incredible achievement and well deserved
  • Jenny Hart achieved six grade 9’s, three grade 8’s and one grade 7
  • Ollie Nixson achieved five grade 9’s, three grade 8’s and two grade 7’s

We look forward to seeing a large number of our students return to our successful Sixth Form and wish those going onto other provisions the very best. We are extremely proud of the Therfield class of 2021 and congratulate them on some really well deserved achievements.

Therfield A Level Results 2021

We are delighted to be able to congratulate the Class of 2021 for their many achievements and to wish them well as they move on to the next phase of their lives with our full support and best wishes.

Today we are celebrating the hard work and achievements of our students here at Therfield School.  Whilst they have faced lots of disruption and uncertainty over the past 18 months, we want to celebrate their many achievements over the course of the 7 years they have been with us.

Our students did not get a chance to show what they would have achieved in formal A Level exams but instead, there has been a complex process to allocate a ‘teacher assessment grade’ (TAG) which included a range of internal assessments.  We were delighted to be able to hold a Year 13 Prom event to celebrate their hard work, and it is important that they can move on to the next stage in their education with a sense of achievement and recognition.

We would like to recognise some stand out results from individuals who have worked incredibly hard:

  • Louis Cullen achieved 4 A*’s and has secured a place at the University of Manchester to study Computer Science
  • Charley Duffell achieved 2 A*’s, 1 A and 1 B and has secured a place at the University of Southampton to study Mechanical Engineering

Other students who achieved well this year are heading off to universities such as the University of Bath, Lancaster University, University of Sussex, Queen Mary’s University and University of Nottingham.  There are a number of students who have achieved excellent apprenticeships this year too with high profile companies such as BT.  We are extremely proud of all of our students and congratulations to all of them.

Today represents the end of one phase of each student's education, and the opportunity to recognise and celebrate what they have achieved.  We are delighted to be able to congratulate the Class of 2021 for their many achievements and want to wish them well as they move on to the next phase of their lives with our full support and best wishes.
