Year 11 Info and Support

Welcome to the dedicated Year 11 page on the Therfield School website. This page is designed to provide the information any Year 11 student or parent needs in order to support the final stages of the GCSE journey. You will find here the important dates you need to know, the revision timetable and exam timetable.

The current Year 11s have worked tremendously hard so far this year and we look forward to celebrating the success they deserve in August. Having completed their mock exams before Christmas, we are looking forward to the Feedback Forum. This event is a rebranding of parents evening specifically for Year 11s and is 100% focussed on staff giving feedback from the mock exams completed before Christmas  and is fantastic opportunity to discuss specific actions that students need to take to make further progress. It is an evening not to be missed and we hope that the ways in which students can improve are very clear and that everyone has the information they need to ensure success in the final exams.

In the New Year, we will be launching our Passport to the Ball, which will encourage students to take a number of steps to help them succeed. By completing these steps, students will thereby earn their right to buy their ticket for the End of Year Ball. This year the Ball will be held at Woodlands Park Hotel and promises to be another great event. The Passport to the Ball ensures that students understand that it is a privilege for us to have such an event and ensures that students earn their place amongst their classmates for the final time they are all together. It will be taking place on Thursday 25th June 2020 at 7:00pm-11:00pm.

We will also be continuing our Classchart Prize draws in assemblies. These are aimed at rewarding students who take positive actions towards their own studies and success. We hope that the year 11s find these a motivational and useful promotion of the hard work that we know is going on around the school.

Well done to all the students so far for all their hard work. We look forward to the upcoming mocks in March (2nd-13th), which we are sure will help increase their chances of success for the summer.
