We are excited to share with you that after many months of planning the Department for Education have selected the main contractor for plans to bring a new SEN school to Surrey in Leatherhead and the pre-application planning process in now underway.

It is proposed that Fox Grove School will be built adjacent to West Hill School on land that is currently underused by Therfield School.  As part of the joint planning application, Therfield School will benefit from a new Sport England compliant four court sports facility closer to our main teaching blocks.

If the joint plans are approved Fox Grove will become the third school in the LIFT Partnership.  It will be an all through mixed school for pupils aged 4-19 and will accommodate up to 152 children with Autism.

Before submitting the planning application, the project team are holding a public exhibition for members of the community to review and comment on the proposals. The exhibition will take place at Therfield School, Dilston Road, Leatherhead, KT22 7NZ on Wednesday 6th November 2019 6-9pm.

If you are unable to attend the exhibition you will be able to review the exhibition materials and comment on the joint plans on the project website

Once the project team have reviewed all feedback received a planning application will be made to Mole Valley District Council.

If you would like to subscribe for updates from the project team you can do so by emailing [email protected]  or via the project website.

Below is a flyer advertising the public exhibition which is being distributed in our local community. If you have any queries or feedback please feel free to email me: [email protected]

Kind regards
